Help people express the truth more clearly.
ReviewMuse exists to reduce the writing friction between a real customer experience and a useful review. These principles shape the product, the AI prompts and the way we expect businesses to use it.
Current product principles · August 2026
1. The customer owns the opinion.
ReviewMuse may improve structure, clarity and wording, but it should not change whether the customer was delighted, disappointed or somewhere in between. The source of truth is always the customer’s experience.
2. The AI must not invent facts.
The review assistant is instructed not to invent employee names, products, prices, wait times, outcomes, events or details that the customer did not supply. When information is missing, the right answer is to stay general—not to fill in the blanks.
3. No review gating.
A customer should not be routed away from a public review destination merely because their rating is low. ReviewMuse is designed so the same review-writing assistance and handoff remain available across the rating spectrum.
4. The customer sees and controls the final words.
Generated text is a draft. The customer can edit it, shorten it, rewrite it or ignore it. ReviewMuse does not silently submit review content on a customer’s behalf.
5. No incentives for a particular sentiment.
Businesses should not use ReviewMuse to offer rewards in exchange for positive reviews or to condition a benefit on the rating or wording a customer chooses.
6. Analytics should measure the journey, not profile the person.
Product analytics are intended to show whether customers opened a link, started writing, reached a review-ready state and continued to a review platform. We do not need a dossier on the person to understand whether the workflow is effective.
7. Businesses remain responsible for how they request reviews.
ReviewMuse is a tool. Businesses are responsible for complying with the policies of the review platforms they use and with applicable laws and industry rules.
The product is intentionally positioned as writing assistance for genuine experiences—not as a system for manufacturing five-star feedback.
